Affreedom Research

Private research workspace

Affreedom Research runs at research.affreedom.org, a subdomain of this site. One person uses it to decide which merchant affiliate programmes are worth joining, then to plan and run the Google Search advertising that sends traffic to the offers chosen.

This site is the documentation for that workspace. There is no sign-up, no trial, and no version offered to anyone else — it is internal tooling for a single operator, published here so that its purpose and its data handling can be read by anyone who needs to.

The four steps it supports

  1. Connect my affiliate network accounts and pull in the programmes I have been approved for, using my own API credentials for each network.
  2. Compare and shortlist on commission rate, cookie duration, permitted promotion regions and merchant size.
  3. Research keyword demand for a shortlisted merchant, and draft the ad copy and landing page.
  4. Create and manage the Google Search campaign — the step the Google Ads API is for.

Steps 1 and 2 are the workspace reading affiliate network APIs. Steps 3 and 4 are where it reads and writes to my own Google Ads accounts. The full workflow is here.

Why it needs the Google Ads API

Keyword research, building a campaign, and reviewing which search terms wasted money are repetitive jobs in the Google Ads interface — and they repeat for every merchant I test. The API lets the workspace do the same work directly, for my own Google Ads accounts only, linked under my own manager account.

I request Basic access with three permissible uses — reporting, keyword research, and account management — because those map to the steps above and nothing beyond them.

In one line

One operator, own accounts, own landing pages. Not distributed, not sold, no service to any other advertiser. It never initiates payments, and never enables a campaign without an explicit confirmation. See the safeguards.
