A research tool is only as honest as its sourcing. This page says where every figure in the workspace comes from, and how far it can be trusted.
| Figure | Source | Confidence |
|---|---|---|
| Commission, cookie duration, permitted regions, deep-link policy | The affiliate network’s own API, read with my credentials | Published by the network |
| My contract terms for a programme | The network’s contract endpoint, where the account has access to it | Published to me |
| Category / niche | Network API where available; otherwise matched from another record for the same merchant domain | Published, or marked inferred |
| Keyword search volume and bid ranges | Google Ads API keyword planning | Google’s own estimate |
| Campaign, keyword and search-term performance | Google Ads API, my accounts only | Measured |
| Monthly visits for a merchant site | A third-party traffic estimation service | Estimate. Can be far off for small sites; used only as a size signal |
| Customer review score | A public consumer review site | As published there |
| Affiliate platform a store runs on | Detected from the store’s own public pages | Detected, not declared |
Rules the workspace follows
- A blank is better than a guess. Where a source does not publish a field, the field stays empty.
- Inferred values are labelled. A value derived rather than published is marked, so the two are never read as the same thing.
- An estimate is called an estimate. Traffic figures are third-party estimates and are described as such wherever they appear.
- One credential, one owner. Each account’s network credentials are used only for that account’s own work.
Public pages are read at a deliberately slow rate, one request at a time with a gap between them, and the workspace stops when a source signals it is being asked for too much.
